Please make sure to contact BrightStar Care: Companion Care to confirm details of their transportation services.

Companion Care is a flexible transportation program tailored to meet the needs of older adults seeking non-emergency medical transportation or assistance with running errands and attending appointments. The program offers on-demand scheduling, allowing riders to book a ride when needed, and provides options for shared rides or private transportation via car or van. For added convenience, riders can pay for services using various methods such as insurance, vouchers, donations, credit cards, checks, cash, or Medicaid payments. Riders in the Companion Care program can enjoy door-to-door transportation services, as well as having the option for a driver to wait while they complete errands or appointments. The program also accommodates service animals, ensuring that older adults can travel with their loyal companions. Additionally, riders can schedule trips in advance, with the flexibility to book rides at least one day ahead or even a few days or a week in advance, depending on their needs. Companion Care operates as a paratransit program, supporting older adults with packages or bags during their trips and offering transportation via taxis, buses, or trains. With a focus on affordability and accessibility, this program aims to provide a reliable and convenient transportation solution for older adults in the community.
