The Home Care program offers a convenient non-emergency medical transportation service for older adults using taxis, cars, vans, buses, or trains. This public transit program allows older adults to schedule rides in advance, typically at least a day or a few days before the desired trip. Payment options include insurance, vouchers, donations, membership fees, flat fees, Medicaid, checks, credit cards, and cash, providing flexibility for riders.
This paratransit program caters to older adults, offering door-to-door or curb-to-curb transportation services. Riders can take advantage of the program's assistance with packages or bags, as well as the option for wait times during errands or appointments. With the ability to follow fixed routes, provide private or shared rides, and support on-demand scheduling, the program ensures reliable and accessible transportation for older adults with varied needs. Additionally, service animals are welcome on board, creating a supportive and inclusive travel experience for all participants.
