Medicaid Buy-In for Workers with Disabilities (MBIWD)

If you have a disability and are working, this program may provide you with health care benefits. In some situations, working and earning money could prevent you from getting public benefit programs such as Medicaid. This program allows you to work and still keep your health care coverage. However, you may need to pay a monthly premium.

Am I eligible?

You can take part in this program if you are a paid worker (includes part-time or full-time) between the ages of 16 and 64. You must also be disabled and have limited income and resources. Some resources such as your home, car, and certain portions of life insurance and burial accounts may not be counted when determining whether you meet the program guidelines.
